Erick Nunda Mbala is a development professional specialized in sustainable development, youth empowerment, and community-based programming, with experience across local, regional, and global development frameworks. He is trained as an Agronomist Engineer with additional expertise in project coordination, knowledge management, and monitoring and evaluation. He has contributed to multi-country initiatives in Africa through partnerships with international networks and research institutions, supporting youth inclusion, innovation, and evidence-based approaches in agriculture, aquaculture, and food systems. His work has been recognized and referenced within global policy and dialogue spaces, including FAO-linked platforms and international youth constituencies. As Chair of the Board, Erick provides strategic oversight, governance leadership, and external representation, ensuring that IRIS MAENDELEO’s interventions align with SDGs, accountability standards, and donor expectations, while remaining firmly rooted in community-identified needs and local ownership.
